The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requires owners to register their drones and unmanned aircraft systems. Owners must register any UAS that weigh more than 0.55 pounds and less than 55 pounds if they will be flown outdoors for hobby or recreation. You can register your UAS or drone with the FAA.
